Dermaplaning or Blading $75A treatment that effectively removes a layer of dead skin cells while at the same time removes fine facial hair without the effects of waxing. Increases cell turnover and collagen stimulation. Allow an extra 30-45 minutes.
Doesn't the hair grow back thicker? Fine facial “peach fuzz” is one of the two types of hair that everyone has. It’s called vellous hair and is the fine translucent hair that you can see if you look closely on women’s face, chest and back. The other type of hair is terminal hair, which is the coarser hair you see on the head, under the arms, in the pubic area, brows, and on the lower face in men. Because Vellous hair is so fine and different from terminal hair, cutting it does not make it grow in thicker or feel stubbly afterwards. How often is this procedure performed? The normal skin growth cycle is around 30 days and since dermablading removes about 2-3 weeks-worth of dead skin cells, it’s best to wait about 3-4 weeks between treatments. Can blading or dermaplaning be performed in the same visit as a chemical peel? A chemical peel done immediately after dermaplaning is an excellent way to make sure that the peel penetrates deeper and more evenly. Lactic acid peels will hydrate and further exfoliate dry and normal skin while a glycolic acid peel is strong enough to combine with dermaplaning for oily skin. |
Lamprobe Treatments
$75 per 1/2 hour Removes Irregularities on the Skin The Lamprobe combines radio and high frequency technology which produces a current that enables rapid and precise treatment of minor skin irregularities. How it works: This technology attracts fluids such as: sebum, cholesterol or blood; drying them out to effectively reduce or remove the skin's irregularity. Treatments are very quick (some within a few seconds), and some may not even touch the skin's surface. Small skin tags or blood spots disappear immediately and hyper-pigmented areas such as liver or "age spots" take only a few seconds. Treatment times and costs vary depending on the type and size of the skin lesion being treated. Multiple treatments or longer treatment times may be required to effectively reduce the appearance, or remove the irregularity completely without obvious scarring. There is minimal discomfort and healing time is short, from a day or two for skin tags to a few weeks for larger skin abnormalities such as fibromas, cholesterol deposits or milia. |
